Halloween Pumpkins (SQSC 49)

I seem to be stuck on pumpkins recently. When I looked at this week’s Stampin’ Queens Sketch Challenge (SQSC49), I thought about the pumpkin faces that I used in my photo booth swap. The card was easy to create after that inspiration. Here’s this week’s original sketch:

And here’s my version of the card:

To make the detail on the pumpkins, I stacked and resized wide oval punches with a thin mat in the lighter orange color (picked from the background) to give the impression of the grooves on the pumpkins. Here are the resources that I used to make the card:

  • Background: Cast a Spell – Pattern 3
  • Stamps:
    • Pumpkin Patch – element 1, element 3, face 1, face 2, and face 3
    • Holiday Blitz – pumpkin face
  • Square Punch, stretched to rectangles, in Basic Black and in Perfect Plum with 2 pt mat in Basic Black
  • Wide Oval Punch in Pumpkin Pie, with 2 pt mat picked from background (from the spiders)
