Paper Crafting Blog Hop: Art in Bloom Card

Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop Banner! Hop with Us!

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom, and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! This month’s theme is flowers. You may have arrived from Nancy Reynolds’s blog. I love her Double Flap Fun Fold card! And she has featured so many beautiful, colorful tulips!

Project Description

I’ve been experimenting recently with masking in my cards. For this card, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Art in Bloom stamp set on Basic White cardstock, and then I cut them out individually to use as masks. I stamped all of the flowers first, adding the paper masks with temporary tape to create the overlap in the two flowers at the top. Next, I arranged the masks over flowers as needed to add the leaves so that they appeared to be behind/under the flowers. I tapped the Basic Black Blends in the middle of the flowers, making many tiny dots for the center.
