You may have arrived from Terri’s blog. She had a gorgeous project with one of my favorite stamp sets!

Project Description

This month’s blog hop theme is thank you cards, which I combined with a fun wintery look. The primary color on the card is Shaded Spruce, with Fresh Freesia snowflakes on the background of the focal point. After all Shaded Spruce snowflakes just look strange. I couldn’t decide between pink and blue snowflakes, so I went with the soft purple of Fresh Freesia.

The card uses a Z-Fold design, with the focal image attached only on the left side of the circle. There is a 2½" thin strip of Basic White hidden behind the fold, where the sender can write a personal message. For the sentiment, I stamped the sentiment from the Snowman Magic set, “Thanks Snow Much,” but cut the words apart. I discarded the word snow. I stamped the letters S, N, and W with the Alphabest set and punched them out with the Best Label Punch. I stamped the snowperson from the Snowman Magic set to stand in for the O in snow.

I fussy cut the snowperson to add some dimension to the focal image. My secret trick to those fiddly snow critter arms was to do the best I could with the fussy cutting and then use a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to color in any white paper that was still showing.

To give the snow a glistening look, I colored the snow on the ground and the snowperson with Wink of Stella.
